TB	Tetapi tentara itu berkata: "Janganlah tuanku maju berperang; sebab apabila kami terpaksa melarikan diri, maka mereka tidak akan menghiraukan kami; bahkan sekalipun mati separuh dari pada kami, mereka tidak akan menghiraukan kami; tetapi tuanku sama harganya dengan sepuluh ribu orang dari pada kami. Sebab itu, adalah lebih baik, bahwa tuanku bersedia menolong kami dari kota."
BIS	Tetapi orang-orang itu menjawab, "Jangan Baginda. Sebab jika kami terpaksa lari, atau walaupun separuh dari kami mati, musuh belum merasa puas, sebab Bagindalah yang mereka cari. Baginda sama nilainya dengan sepuluh ribu orang dari kami. Lagipula lebih baik Baginda mengirim bantuan saja kepada kami dari dalam kota."
FAYH	Mereka berkata, "Janganlah Baginda ikut dengan kami. Jika kami harus mundur dan lari, bahkan harus mati sekalipun, mereka tidak peduli sebab yang mereka cari ialah Baginda sendiri. Baginda lebih berharga daripada sepuluh ribu prajurit. Jadi, sebaiknya Baginda tinggal saja di kota, dan menolong kami jika kami membutuhkan bantuan."

MESSAGE	They said, "No, you mustn't march with us. If we're forced to retreat, the enemy won't give it a second thought. And if half of us die, they won't do so either. But you are worth ten thousand of us. It will be better for us if you stay in the city and help from there."
