ENDE | Tidak berbaringlah mereka bersama dengan para pahlawan jang rebah dimasa azali, jang turun kepratatala dengan sendjata perangnja, jang pedangnja diletakkan dibawah kepalanja dan jang djebangnja diatas tulang2-nja, sebab pahlawanlah mereka dinegeri orang2 jang hidup. |

BBE | And they have been put to rest with the fighting men who came to their end in days long past, who went down to the underworld with their instruments of war, placing their swords under their heads, and their body-covers are over their bones; for their strength was a cause of fear in the land of the living. |
MESSAGE | They're segregated from the heroes, the old-time giants who entered the grave in full battle dress, their swords placed under their heads and their shields covering their bones, those heroes who spread terror through the land of the living. |
NKJV | They do not lie with the mighty [Who are] fallen of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to hell with their weapons of war; They have laid their swords under their heads, But their iniquities will be on their bones, Because of the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. |

RWEBSTR | And they shall not lie with the mighty [that are] fallen of the uncircumcised, who are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though [they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. |
GWV | They don't lie with the godless warriors who died and went down to the grave with their weapons of war. Their swords were placed under their heads. Their shields were placed on their bones because they terrified others in the land of the living. |
NET | They do not lie with the fallen warriors of ancient times,* who went down to Sheol with their weapons of war, having their swords placed under their heads and their shields on their bones,* when the terror of these warriors was in the land of the living. |
NET | 32:27 They do not lie with the fallen warriors of ancient times,1022 tc Heb “of the uncircumcised.” The LXX reads, probably correctly, “from of old” rather than “of the uncircumcised.” The phrases are very similar in spelling. The warriors of Meshech-Tubal are described as uncircumcised, so it would be odd for them to not be buried with the uncircumcised. Verse 28 specifically says that they would lie with the uncircumcised. who went down to Sheol with their weapons of war, having their swords placed under their heads and their shields on their bones,1023 tn Heb “and their iniquities were over their bones.” The meaning of this statement is unclear; in light of the parallelism (see “swords”) it is preferable to emend “their iniquities” to “their swords.” See L. C. Allen, Ezekiel (WBC), 2:135. when the terror of these warriors was in the land of the living.
