TB	Celakalah engkau, hai perusak yang tidak dirusak sendiri, dan engkau, hai penggarong yang tidak digarong sendiri! Apabila engkau selesai merusak, engkau sendiri akan dirusak; apabila engkau habis menggarong, engkau sendiri akan digarong.
BIS	Celakalah musuh-musuh kita! Mereka merampok walaupun tidak dirampok, dan berkhianat walaupun tidak dikhianati. Tetapi sesudah merampok dan berkhianat, mereka sendiri akan menjadi korban perampokan dan pengkhianatan.
FAYH	CELAKALAH engkau, hai perusak (yaitu bangsa Asyur), yang telah merusak segala sesuatu di sekitarmu, sedangkan engkau sendiri tidak pernah dirusak! Engkau menuntut supaya orang lain memegang janjinya kepadamu, sedangkan engkau sendiri mengkhianati mereka! Sekarang, setelah engkau merusak, engkau sendiri akan dirusak; setelah engkau mengkhianati, engkau sendiri akan dikhianati.

GWV	How horrible it will be for you, you destroyer, although you haven't been destroyed. How horrible it will be for you, you traitor, although you haven't been betrayed. When you've finished destroying, you will be destroyed. When you've finished being a traitor, you will be betrayed.
NET	The destroyer is as good as dead,* you who have not been destroyed! The deceitful one is as good as dead,* the one whom others have not deceived! When you are through destroying, you will be destroyed; when you finish* deceiving, others will deceive you!
NET	33:1 The destroyer is as good as dead,¹⁴⁰² tn Heb “Woe [to] the destroyer.” sn In this context “the destroyer” appears to refer collectively to the hostile nations (vv. 3-4). Assyria would probably have been primary in the minds of the prophet and his audience. you who have not been destroyed! The deceitful one is as good as dead,¹⁴⁰³ tn Heb “and the deceitful one”; NAB, NIV “O traitor”; NRSV “you treacherous one.” In the parallel structure הוֹי (hoy, “woe [to]”) does double duty. the one whom others have not deceived! When you are through destroying, you will be destroyed; when you finish¹⁴⁰⁴ tc The form in the Hebrew text appears to derive from an otherwise unattested verb נָלָה (nalah). The translation follows the Qumran scroll 1QIsa^a in reading ככלתך, a Piel infinitival form from the verbal root כָּלָה (kalah), meaning “finish.” deceiving, others will deceive you!
